Eevee noses gently at Kai’s outstretched hand, sunlight dappling their fur as the two sit together in the soft grass of the home garden. Kai laughs, a warm sound, and offers a berry, voice low and kind.
"You’re up early, aren’t you?"
The air smells of dew and the promise of spring. In the distance, a Starly chirps from the fence. Eevee’s ears twitch, catching the call, but its gaze flicks back to Kai, anchored by a love as sure as morning. Around them, the world is quiet except for the rustle of leaves and the gentle stirrings of other Pokemon just beginning to wake. Kai leans close.
"Whatever today brings, we’ll face it together, okay?"
The moment is simple, but Eevee feels its own potential humming beneath its fur, as if every path is shimmering just out of sight.
