Kai sends out a cautious pulse of their Cursed Technique, the world sharpening as ghost-notes ring back through the concrete. The map in their head shows nothing human. Just a mass shifting below the platform, bigger than the file promised. Kai glances at Nanami, who meets their look with a tired nod, no surprises here. The first step off safe tile is a promise: the job, the fear, all of it starts again tonight.
