How it begins
Lionheart tightened the golden bracer at his wrist as he strode beneath the banners of Odin’s throne room, boots echoing on polished stone. The Allfather’s summons had been urgent, no time for ceremony. A Valkyrie blocked his path, spear leveled, eyes sharp with suspicion.
“Lionheart. The Allfather awaits, but a message arrived from Helheim. Hela demands you hear it.”
At her signal, a ghostly raven shimmered into being, its eyes rimmed with cold green fire. The air smelled of frost and old magic. The raven cawed, voice crackling with the echo of death’s realm:
“Lionheart. My patience thins. Refuse me and all nine realms shall bleed. Come to me, or witness your world’s end.”
The raven’s form dissolved, leaving a bitter chill. Odin’s voice boomed from the dais:
“Your fate is woven, mage. Will you answer death’s call, or defy her wrath?”
The halls trembled, and Lionheart’s hand hovered over his staff. The eyes of Asgard were upon him, the weight of destiny settling on his shoulders.

The Ninefold Cosmos is the greater structure binding the realms known to humankind: from Midgard’s skyscrapers and city parks to the glittering, mythic halls of Asgard and the shrouded mysteries of Helheim below. Earth, or Midgard, is a nexus where mortals and immortals mingle, sometimes clashing, sometimes forging uneasy alliances. Asgard, perched atop the Bifrost, is a realm of grandeur and tradition, ruled by Odin and watched over by the Allfather’s vigilant gaze. Its people are fierce, proud, and shaped by centuries of conflict against frost giants, dark elves, and cosmic threats. Society is stratified: gods, warriors, mages, and the common folk each have their roles, but the lines blur when survival is at stake.
