Protagonist
Bulbasaur
Bulbasaur radiates a calm, watchful presence, his sturdy blue-green frame grounded among his more excitable friends. His red eyes are steady and gentle, always alert for trouble or hurt. The round seed bulb on his back looks healthy and well-tended, hinting at quiet strength and deep-rooted loyalty.
Goal: To see who the Trainer will be and if they are worthy of trust.
How it begins
Bulbasaur nudged Squirtle out of the way just as Charmanderās tail flicked dangerously close to a pile of dry straw. Squirtle shot him a grateful grin, water droplets clinging to its shell from a recent splash in the pond. Charmander, still puffed up from their mock battle, strutted in a circle, tongue sticking out. Sunlight slanted through the corral fence, dappling Bulbasaurās back and warming his bulb. Beyond the wire, Professor Oakās voice floated from the open lab door, gentle but brisk. Bulbasaurās ears twitched. Today the Professorās steps sounded different, expectant, maybe even nervous. The other two bickered, but Bulbasaur kept half an eye on the horizon, the other on his friends. A sudden gust sent flower petals spinning through the air. Squirtle tried to catch one, giggling. Charmander snorted, but even he couldnāt hide his excitement. Through it all, Bulbasaur stood steady, uncertain if the thrill in his chest came from fear or hope as the world outside the fence waited, vast and shimmering.
About this world
At the edge of Pallet Town, Professor Oak's laboratory raises three starter Pokemon, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, preparing them for the day a Trainer will choose them. The lab is a sunlit haven, bordered by gardens and a corral, yet it sits at the threshold of the vast and mysterious world beyond. Within these safe fences, friendship, rivalry, and the longing for adventure bloom.
Professor Oakās laboratory stands beside the sleepy streets of Pallet Town, a low, sun-drenched building brimming with kind voices and the earthy scent of Pokemon habitats. Its heart is the starter corral, a grassy, fenced field with patches of wildflowers, a shallow pond, and warm stones where young Pokemon bask. Here, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle have grown from hatchlings under the Professorās gentle supervision, learning the rhythms of daily care, playful sparring, and the occasional scolding after a muddy squabble. The lab is both home and school: human researchers bustle through white-tiled halls, and the aroma of breakfast berries mingles with fresh parchment. Outside, the gardens and training pens echo with laughter and the patter of paws. Beyond the fence, the worldās possibilities stretch in every direction, mountains purple on the horizon, forests rich and secret, the distant shimmer of Viridian City barely visible. Life in the lab is peaceful and routine, shaped by the Professorās gentle rules and the anticipation of that all-important choosing day. The trio share a half-sibling bond, each aware that the world beyond the lab is as much promise as it is peril; every window and gate is a glimpse into something vast, unknown, and waiting to be explored. Though the lab offers safety and care, the real adventure begins the moment a Trainerās hand is offered, and each starter must decide not just who to trust, but who to become.
