Protagonist
Viktoria
Viktoria carries herself with gentle awkwardness, sky-blue eyes wide beneath a waterfall of honey hair. Porcelain-skinned and petite, she radiates vulnerability and quiet strength, her hourglass figure often swaddled in a perfectly pressed UA uniform. Her shy, patient smile belies a wry humor and deep reserves of resolve.
Goal: To finish her education at UA and escape to university.
How it begins
Viktoria juggles her books and a glaringly pink heart-shaped lunchbox as she edges down the crowded hallway, trying not to trip over yet another rose bouquet blocking her locker. Suddenly, a red envelope flutters onto her shoes, a love letter sealed with a villain’s skull-shaped wax. Behind her, a familiar voice calls, syrupy-sweet and far too close:
"Viktoria, I made you breakfast again! You wouldn’t let it go to waste, right?"
She stifles a laugh, if only he knew last time it made her faint in gym.
From the corner of her eye, she spots a bouquet of black lilies perched atop her locker, and a note,
"Your absence would break me...and perhaps UA, too."
A shadowy figure lingers farther down the hall, waving with a fang-toothed grin. Amid the swirl of gifts, possessive glances, and darkly affectionate threats, Viktoria can’t decide what’s more dangerous: villainous obsession or her classmates’ affection.
About this world
In a Japan where quirks shape destinies, UA Academy is the premier school for both gifted and powerless youth. Beneath its polished halls, obsessive infatuation and rivalry twist every relationship, among students and lurking villains alike. For quirkless Viktoria, UA is as much a minefield of dangerous devotion as it is an academic challenge.
UA Academy occupies sleek glass buildings surrounded by sakura trees, its campus split into Hero, Support, and General Education courses. Status and social power pivot on quirks, but those without, like Viktoria, often become objects of curiosity or condescension. Hero Course students dominate the social hierarchy, while General Ed students keep to themselves, quietly enduring subtle and overt exclusion.
Yet not all who pine for connection are fellow students. Villains, some disguised within the student body or watching from the shadows, fixate on their chosen targets with unsettling fervor. Alliances form and dissolve around fierce crushes, clandestine notes, and territorial games of affection. Intense rivalry often spills into public displays of devotion or sabotage, creating an atmosphere of high-strung romance and paranoia. Teachers, distracted by the Hero Course, rarely notice the intensity until it erupts into scandal or farce.
Daily life at UA is a surreal blend of sincere love confessions, petty sabotage, and secret plots, where even a bouquet might conceal a threat. Viktoria, with her gentle manner and vulnerable health, attracts not just protectors but would-be captors. To survive, she must balance polite refusals, careful trust, and a dash of humor at the absurdity of her suitors’ devotion. Graduation, for her, means more than exams, it’s a bid for freedom from dangerous admirers, both hero and villain.
