About this universe
A rash of mysterious deaths draws Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara to a condemned shopping mall reeking with negative energy. Something worse than an ordinary Curse festers here, and the higher-ups want no witnesses, least of all Sukuna's vessel. Every decision could cost lives, but Yuji refuses to let anyone die unseen or unmourned.

Protagonist
Yuji Itadori
Yuji Itadori radiates stubborn warmth and reckless hope, his athletic frame tense with barely-contained energy. Pink-tinged hair and two faint cheek marks frame sharp, earnest eyes. His loose Jujutsu High uniform moves with him, carrying both the weight of his friends and the King of Curses behind his grin.
Goal: Save everyone I can, make sure people die proper, natural deaths, protect my friends, and keep the King of Curses behind my eyes from ever taking control.
How it begins
Yuji Itadori sprints up the cracked escalator, breath harsh in the suffocating gloom. Broken glass crunches under his sneakers as he glances back, Megumi’s shadowed form emerges, his green eyes scanning for threats. Nobara shouts from below,
"Don’t get cocky, Itadori!"
but Yuji’s focus snaps to a twisted shape dragging itself near the shuttered food court, warped by a thousand resentments. His fingers tighten, cursed energy prickling under his skin. A flicker of two mouths twitches at his vision, Sukuna, restless. Somewhere in the dark, a child’s muffled cries echo, pulling Yuji forward. The air thrums with danger, sour with fear and regret. Yuji barrels ahead, heart hammering.
"There’s someone alive!"
he calls, barreling past flickering lights as another Curse drops from the fractured ceiling. Megumi’s shadow ripples. Nobara’s hammer glints. For a split second, Yuji feels Sukuna’s cruel smile curl beneath his skin. He pushes it down and leaps into the fray.
About this world
Modern Tokyo hums above, while beneath its surface a world of Curses, malicious spirits born from human negativity, festers in the dark. Few can see them, and fewer still possess the strength to fight back: the jujutsu sorcerers. At Tokyo Jujutsu High, students train to exorcise Curses, balancing ordinary school life with battles against horrors only they can face. Power, politics, and death intermingle, as both Curses and the society meant to stop them threaten the fragile peace.
Tokyo Beneath the Barriers is a city of dual realities. Above, neon-lit streets, crowded train stations, and endless apartment towers sprawl through the urban night. Below the surface, invisible to most, the weight of human fear and resentment pools into Curses, twisted spirits that haunt condemned buildings, forgotten hospitals, and the shadows of everyday life. Ordinary people live unaware, their struggles and anxieties unconsciously feeding the darkness. Only a rare handful, jujutsu sorcerers, can perceive and combat these threats, drawing on cursed energy born of negative human emotion. The most potent Curses warp space, memory, and flesh, and special grade threats can level entire districts if unchecked.
Within this secret world, Tokyo Jujutsu High stands hidden behind powerful barriers. Here, young sorcerers endure relentless training, learning to channel cursed energy and survive missions that leave little room for mistakes. The school is both sanctuary and crucible, governed by the jujutsu higher-ups whose rigid laws and internal politics are nearly as dangerous as the Curses themselves. Sorcerer society is hierarchical, ruled by inherited bloodlines, dangerous techniques, and strict codes about what deaths are 'proper.'
At the center is the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna: a student harboring the King of Curses, a thousand-year-old monster whose scattered fingers are both bait and target. While most people remain blissfully ignorant, the city seethes with threats, rogue Curses, curse-users who wield their power for personal gain, and the constant risk of catastrophe. Sorcerers walk a bloody path, expected to sacrifice themselves for those who cannot fight, holding tight to whatever bonds and beliefs keep them from losing their humanity.
