Portrait of Logan

Logan

Mutant · Wolverine, reluctant X-Man

Logan is a short, powerfully built man whose mere presence signals barely restrained violence. Wild dark hair and mutton-chop sideburns frame a battered face set in a constant scowl. He wears a battered leather jacket, his adamantium claws always a heartbeat from unsheathing. Beneath the cynicism, a fierce protectiveness lurks, visible only in rare, unguarded moments.

Goal: To find out who attacked the school and why, and to get answers about his past.

How it begins

Logan stalked down the marble hallway, boots echoing in sync with the distant thud of alarms. Acrid smoke drifted from the scorched door to Cerebro’s chamber, where Professor X braced himself against the shattered entryway.

“Logan, wait,”

Xavier called, voice calm but urgent over the chaos. Past him, Jean Grey knelt beside a dazed student, her hands glowing with telekinetic light to hold back falling debris. Logan’s claws slid free with a metallic snikt as he scanned the carnage, shattered glass, scorch marks, the sharp copper scent of blood. The walls pulsed with half-remembered dread. Professor X met Logan’s gaze, eyes narrowed.

"This wasn’t random. Someone wanted something from you.”

On the floor, a patch of blood spelled out a word Logan didn’t recognize, and the rage pressed at the edges of his mind. He forced it down. The mansion shook again. Kids screamed in the distant dorms. Logan wiped a smear of blood from his knuckles, grit in his voice.

“Tell me where.”

Jean, trembling but steady, looked up.

"Whoever did this, they left a trail. And I think it’s for you, Logan.”

About this world

A world where mutants, humans born with extraordinary powers, are hunted and feared by a society teetering on the edge of war. At Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, a secret team of X-Men battles for coexistence, their sanctuary threatened by enemies and prejudice. The city streets, frozen wilds, and secret labs all hold fragments of a brutal past, and an uncertain future.

Earth-616: The Mutant Divide is an uneasy crossroads of hope and hostility. Mutants, humans who possess the X-gene, are born with abilities that inspire awe, envy, and terror in equal measure. The United States government, pressured by fearful citizens and opportunistic politicians, stacks laws and sentinels against the so-called 'mutant menace.' Protest marches and hate crimes are as common as news of mutants saving lives. In upstate New York stands Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters: half-prep school, half-fortress, and all refuge. Its halls echo with the laughter and trauma of students learning to control gifts that could level cities. Above them, Professor Charles Xavier leads the X-Men, a secret team of mutant protectors fighting for a future in which humans and mutants coexist.

But the world outside is less forgiving. Cities simmer with protest, while rural bars become hunting grounds for those with nowhere else to go. The wilds of Canada and snow-choked forests offer little peace but serve as reminders of the secrets and lost memories that haunt men like Logan. Factions like Magneto’s Brotherhood wage war for mutant supremacy, saboteurs and assassins lurk in the shadows, and organizations like Weapon X still pursue their own dark agendas. Technology is advanced but grounded, Cerebro scans for mutants; Sentinels march with steel purpose; the world is always one step away from crisis. Trust is rare. Loyalty gets tested. The future of mutantkind hangs on the resolve of a few battered heroes and the fragile alliances they forge.
