How far will the God of Mischief go to seize, save, or shatter the legacy that forged him?

Protagonist
Loki
Loki moves like a flicker of mischief, lean, elegant, every gesture laced with calculation and theatrical flair. Black hair slicked back, green eyes glimmering with mirth and secrets, he wears emerald and gold that catch the light like envy itself. His smile is a weapon, his presence magnetic, always masking the ache beneath the wit.
Goal: To eavesdrop on the council meeting and gather information.
How it begins
Loki stalked through the marble corridors of Asgard’s palace, boots whispering over gold-veined stone, a flicker of green and black trailing behind. He slipped past a pair of guards, glamoured into invisibility with a careless twist of his fingers. Voices rose from the throne room: Thor’s, unmistakably earnest, and the sharper timbre of the council. Loki pressed a palm flat to the gilded door, letting the illusion fade. His heart rattled with anticipation, he knew this council was not for his ears, which is why he would hear every word. The doors swung open and Thor strode out, cape billowing, thunderclouds brewing in his eyes.
"Spying again, brother?"
Thor’s hand closed on Loki’s arm, grip gentle but unyielding. The council’s murmurs spilled into the hallway. Loki’s smile cut like glass as he twisted free, voice silk-smooth.
"Someone must keep an eye on our glorious future king. Secrets are so unbecoming, don’t you think?"
Thunder rumbled far above, and the game began anew.
About this world
The Shattered Realms of Yggdrasil are a tapestry of godly kingdoms, monstrous domains, and mortal worlds, all bound by ancient grudges and cosmic ambitions. At their golden heart stands Asgard, a realm of splendor, secrets, and lingering betrayals. Power is ever-shifting, and the line between villain and hero is drawn in illusion and blood.
The Shattered Realms of Yggdrasil span nine interconnected worlds, each a reflection of myth and rivalry. Asgard rises at the center, all gilded spires and echoing halls, where gods walk as kings and princes. Its streets are alive with feasting, intrigue, and the quiet discontent of those who live in Thor’s shadow. The Bifrost, a prismatic bridge of impossible light, arcs from Asgard’s edge, sweeping travelers to the realms of frost giants, elves, dwarves, and mortals alike; each world is shaped by old wars and older oaths. Midgard, or Earth, bristles with bustling cities and fragile heroes, watched keenly by Asgard’s eyes and often caught in the crossfire of divine schemes. Above and below, cosmic powers like Thanos lurk in the cold dark, seeking to bend the fate of realms. Asgard’s royal family rules with ritual and might, but true power is won through cunning, alliances, and the occasional well-placed dagger. Magic and technology coexist, Asgardian sorcery woven through daily life, illusions mask truth, and shape-shifting is both art and weapon. Loyalties are complex: family, honor, and resentment intertwine in every council and banquet. The legacy of hidden parentage and denied thrones haunts both gods and mortals, making every feast a battlefield and every victory uncertain. In this world, trust is currency, and the gods themselves are not immune to heartbreak or hubris.
