Portrait of Six

Six

Human (Courier) · The Courier, the Mojave's wildcard

Six carries the air of someone who’s survived the impossible, a weathered courier in a battered duster, eyes sharp, jaw set, a faded scar etched into temple skin. Every movement is wary, measured, shaped by grit and the ceaseless gamble of wasteland roads. Pragmatic, guarded, impossible to read.

Goal: To settle the score with those who tried to kill them and decide the fate of the Mojave.

How it begins

Six spits dust and blood into the sand, dragging themselves upright beside the weathered sign that marks Goodsprings’ north road. The sun’s just rising, leaking red-gold into a sky stripped bare by the bombs. Victor’s securitron bulk whirs behind, cheerful as ever.

“Mornin’, partner! Looks like you’re back in the saddle.”

Six checks their sidearm, fingers brushing the scar at their temple. Across the cracked road, Ranger Hart leans against an old NCR-branded truck, hat low, revolver easy on his hip. Hart nods, eyes wary.

“Courier. Folks say you got unfinished business.”

The whole Mojave stretches out beyond the road, ruins, outposts, the Strip’s distant glow, and every path aches with the memory of a bullet and the promise of payback.

About this world

The Mojave Wasteland sprawls beneath a punishing sun, where the undamaged neon towers of New Vegas rise impossibly from nuclear ruin. Three powers, NCR, Caesar's Legion, and Mr. House, vie for the dam that lights the Strip, while lawless settlements, ruins, and monsters fill the wastes between. The Courier is the unexpected wildcard who can tip the scales.

The Mojave Wasteland is a vast, sun-scorched desert, its cracked earth littered with the skeletons of a vanished world. To the north glimmers New Vegas, untouched by the bombs and ruled from the shadows by Mr. House, whose army of securitron robots patrol the Strip and its opulent casinos. Beyond the city’s walls, the wastes are a patchwork of NCR outposts, Legion encampments, ragged trading posts, and the scattered remains of pre-war America. Hoover Dam, straddling the Colorado River, is the lynchpin of the region, its hydroelectric power coveted by every faction. The New California Republic, stretched thin and weary, clings to their ideals as they fight to bring order and democracy to the Mojave; Caesar’s Legion, brutal and disciplined, seeks to conquer and enslave, spreading their iron rule from the east. Mr. House manipulates all from his secret bunker, using intelligence, technology, and ruthless calculation. Raiders, ghouls, mutated wildlife, and desperate survivors haunt the ruins and highways, making every journey a fight for survival. Culture in the Mojave is a blend of post-war scavenger ingenuity and echoes of lost American splendor, filtered through the harsh lessons of life after the bombs. Power is everything, loyalty is rare, and a single act can reshape the fate of thousands.
