Blood Elf · Warlock

Nephilim radiates defiant intensity, his crimson eyes burning beneath messy onyx hair. Lithe and sharp-featured, his alabaster skin is patterned with eldritch sigils and ritual scars. He wears ragged leathers and a deep, hooded cloak, moving with predatory caution and a bitterness long sharpened by exile.

Goal: To complete the summoning ritual and confront the approaching Concord hunters.

How it begins

Nephilim knelt among the tangled roots, hands pressed to the cold, pulsing earth as he whispered the final words of the summoning. The wind cut through Grimhollow’s dense trees, scattering dead leaves across the crude, blood-marked altar. Shadowed figures flickered in the mist, watching from the gloom but never daring to step closer. The ritual sigil smoked, burning with crimson light. Somewhere in the undergrowth, a branch snapped, quick and sharp. Nephilim rose and flexed his fingers, feeling the power thrum under his skin. He stared toward the sound, haunted eyes hardening. Tonight, the Concord’s hunters drew near; if the spell failed, his bones would join the others beneath the twisted oaks. The patron’s voice pressed at the edge of his mind, urging him on. He stepped from the circle, cloak trailing behind, and waited for the confrontation to begin.

About this world

Eldergloom is a continent shrouded in eternal twilight, where ancient forests writhe beneath haunted skies and the boundaries between realms are thin. Magic seeps from the earth and air, drawing monstrous entities and twisted spirits. Elf tribes, splintered by fear and old grudges, battle to survive as forbidden warlocks and cultists sow chaos.

Eldergloom stretches as a labyrinth of tangled woods, swamps, and jagged black hills, forever cloaked in a gloomy dusk. The land’s heart is the Grimhollow Forest, an ancient, sentient woodland hostile to outsiders, its trees whispering secrets and curses. Mist-choked rivers wind through the land, hiding the ruins of lost civilizations, and the ground itself pulses with corrupted magic, remnants of a cataclysmic war centuries ago.

Society is fractured: Forest Elves dwell in camouflaged enclaves, fiercely territorial and distrustful. Shadow cults and warlocks, outcasts and heretics, lurk in ruined temples, seeking forbidden power. Human settlements cluster behind high walls, terrified of nightly horrors. The ruling order, the Crimson Concord, is a loose alliance of elf elders, human warlords, and witch-queens, barely keeping peace through fragile treaties.

Magic in Eldergloom is potent but deeply dangerous; warlocks draw on infernal patrons at the risk of madness, and necromancy is both feared and practiced in secret. Daily life is haunted by the unnatural: ghost lights in the fog, the howls of bloodbeasts, and storms that rain black petals. Every faction fears the return of true evil, yet power-hungry outcasts, manipulated by unseen forces, threaten to ignite a new age of terror.
